Five for Fighting, a.k.a. singer/songwriter John Ondrasik, is doing a tour this fall, and fans who come out to see him will get access to a special item: a new live album.
The album, Five for Fighting Live with String Quartet, will exclusively be available to those attending the shows; fans who can’t make it to a show will be able to buy it later this fall.
Like the album, the tour will feature John performing with a string quartet. In a statement, he says, “The new album allows me to pull a catalogue of songs that presents my music in a way never heard before. Of course, we play the hits, the misses, and tell some stories along the way. And what a group of players we have! I’m humbled and inspired by their musicianship and fiddle mastery every night.”
In other Five for Fighting news, a new track, “Song of the Innocents,” will be released October 5. It’s the end title theme of the upcoming movie Gosnell, in theaters October 12. The movie, based on a true story, is about the investigation into, and trial of, convicted murderer Dr. Kermit Gosnell.
